Take a look at Israel through a whole new lens at the JCC in Manhattan’s third annual Yom Ha’atzmaut Film Marathon, Israel-in-Short. The event marks Israel Independence Day with a variety of short films created by up-and-coming Israeli filmmakers, offering portraits of contemporary life in Israel.

Celebrate with music at Temple B’nai Torah’s Israel Independence Day concert. The event features a performance by the synagogue’s big band, directed by Rabbi Jim Mirel, and Cantor David Serkin-Poole is among the vocal soloists. The evening opens with a Yom HaZikaron (Day of Remembrance) memorial for fallen heroes. A dessert reception follows the music.
