A “Jewish Constituency Focused” fundraiser Monday for President Obama’s reelection campaign brought in $825,000, Politico is reporting.

The 90-minute event, held at Washington’s Jefferson Hotel, attracted some 25 Obama-backers, who paid $35,800 each.

Though the White House didn’t identify the event as targeting Jewish campaign supporters, Politico obtained an announcement for the event, “An Afternoon with Jewish Leaders and President Barack Obama. ” On the agenda: campaign discussions with President Obama and other participants, and an appetizer-and-cocktails reception.

The fundraiser was closed to the press. But members of the media did identify Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, of Florida, the Democratic National Committee chairwoman, as among those at the hotel for the event.
