Is ‘Sext’-Happy Anthony Weiner Plotting a Comeback?

Disgraced ex-Congressman Anthony Weiner has spent more than $100,000 on polling this month alone, raising speculation that he may be planning a return to politics.

The Tweet-happy Jewish lawmaker, who quit in 2011 after being caught sending inappropriate text messages and pictures to women, paid a San Francisco consulting firm $106,500 in March, the Daily News reported.
Weiner may be considering a run for New York City mayor later this year, although insiders say it is late to jump into that contest and he has expressed no public signs of interest.
Money would not be a major problem as Weiner still has $4 million in his campaign war chest.
The former representative Weiner has raised his public profile in recent months. The New York Post reported he visited his old district in the Rockaways after Superstorm Sandy to help with cleanup.
Weiner was considering a rising star and a frontrunner to be mayor when his political world blew up in 2011.
After repeated, emphatic denials, he admitted sending a string of text messages to young women, including some including crotch shots.
He resigned and said he was planning to work on his relationship with his family.
Weiner is married to stylish Huma Abedin, a top State Department official. She announced her pregnancy with their first baby after the scandal broke and gave birth to Jordan Weiner in November 2011.
The couple are still together and Abedin has vowed to stay with Weiner.
