Coffee as Breath Mint?
The bad taste in your mouth that follows your morning cup of coffee could actually contain the key to fresh breath, a new Israeli study shows. Mel Rosenberg, a researcher on odor at Tel Aviv University, announced his surprising results recently at a meeting of the International Society for Breath Odor Research.
“We expected that coffee would cause bad breath, but there is something inside this magic brew that has the opposite effect,” Rosenberg was quoted in the Jerusalem Post.
Hopefully improving the breath of Israelis across the nation, popular coffee chain The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf announced plans to nearly double the number of Israeli locations by the end of 2010, Yediot Ahronot reported today.
The chain will add 12 branches, in an effort to reach out to the Arab and Haredi markets.
