Union Files Complaint Against B&H Photo Over Warehouse Move

The union representing the newly-organized workers at the Brooklyn warehouse of B & H Photo Video have filed a complaint against the company over its plan to shift its operations to New Jersey.

The local news website DNAinfo first reported the National Labor Relations Board filing brought by United Steelworkers.

B&H announced in January that it planned to close the Brooklyn factory where workers unionized in 2015. In 2016, Department of Labor investigators brought a complaint against the company arguing that Hispanic employees were forced to use separate toilets at the facility.

According to DNAinfo, the United Steelworkers complaint alleges that B&H failed to negotiate with the union over the relocation of the warehouse.
