#T-143, overall score 37.5/100

Fun Fact:

SMU hosts both the George W. Bush Presidential Center and the JCPenney Center for Retail Excellence, which studies consumer shopping behavior.

Why should Jewish students attend SMU? SMU is a wonderful, safe, welcoming place for Jewish students. We have a new Jewish Studies program and AEPi fraternity that work closely with Hillel. Our members are talented, caring and driven and they are committed to making Hillel strong at SMU. They work with our Director, Rabbi Heidi Coretz, to develop a program of interesting and fun events each semester. Our students are leaders in every aspect of campus life, from student government, to residence and Greek life, to sports and a wide variety of clubs. At SMU, we are proudly nurturing and shaping the next generation of world leaders, at a campus that values its Jewish community. — Rabbi Heidi Coretz, executive director, SMU Hillel
