Kiryas Joel Teen Shot in Upstate New York Convenience Store Robbery

HARRIMAN, N.Y. – New York State Police on Wednesday were investigating the shooting of a Jewish teen in the parking lot of the local Kosher Quick Shop and sushi bar.

The Times Herald-Record identified the , of nearby Kiryas Joel.

Weiss was recovering in the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla of two bullet wounds to his right arm and shoulder, reports jpupdates.com.

The site reports that Weiss was confronted by an armed man who was attempting to rob the take-out joint at 118 River Road in Harriman at 9 p.m. Tuesday night.

The suspect reportedly told the victim, “Don’t move,” and then fired.

Weiss’ injuries were described as not life-threatening and he is said to be in stable condition.
