Shabbat Terror Family Invites Public To Bris Of Surviving Grandson

Only a few days after three relatives were slaughtered in a terrorist home invasion, the Salomon family is inviting the Israeli public to attend the circumcision of a newborn whose birth they were celebrating when the attack occurred.
Three people were killed in the Friday night attack sparked by tensions over worship at Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, including Yosef Salomon and two of his children, Chaya and Elad Salomon.
The family lived in the West Bank settlement of Halamish, and the alleged murderer, Omar al-Abed, climbed the settlement’s fence and breached a window in the family’s home. The family was sitting down at Yosef and wife Tovah Salomon’s home to celebrate the newborn boy’s arrival.
The family is sitting shiva in the near-by settlement of Elad, where Israeli President Reuven Rivlin and U.S. Middle East envoy Jason Greenblatt has paid them a visit.
“The entire people of Israel are with me in this house today, astounded by your strength, and the family strength you displayed,” Rivlin said, according to the Jerusalem Post report.
Jewish males are traditionally circumcised eight days after their birth.
