Traditional Seder with a Pinch of Flavor
Can’t take the heat? Make reservations. Many restaurants offer Seders and holiday-themed menus at Passover, and several New York eateries are putting an exotic spin on the traditional meal, the daily blog Gothamist reports. Chef Floyd Cardoz heads up the kitchen at Tabla, serving Passover dishes flavored with Indian spices — think Goan-spiced brisket and matzo ball soup with toasted coriander. The flavors of Mexico are infused into holiday dishes at Toloache (which serves tacos de brisket, made of matzo tortillas and chipotle-braised brisket!) and Rosa Mexicano, while French bistro Capsouto Frères is offering a Sephardic-style menu.
