Invitation to Iran

Jay Michaelson writes that recognizing Palestine would not “have any impact on the security issue Israelis are most concerned about, which is Iran.” Nothing could be further from reality. After Israel withdraws from those parts of Jerusalem that the Palestinians demand for the site of their capital, the same Iranian agencies that planned the destruction of the Jewish cultural center and Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires from their own consulate in that city will open a legation a stone’s throw away from the Knesset, the prime minister’s residence, the Western Wall, etc. To invite the thinly disguised Iranian Trojan horse into the centers of Jewish population is worse than deliberate blindness. It’s suicide.
