Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann’s visit to a Chicago area synagogue for Kol Nidrei services didn’t go down well with many of the congregants at Anshe Emet. At the very least, her presence was a distraction. Moreover, some worshippers walked out of the service, while others chose to show their disapproval by donating to her Democratic opponent’s campaign.
