Lena Dunham Lights Up the Golden Globes

While the Golden Globes are still fresh on our minds, let’s relive some of those exciting moments:

Lena Dunham, who looked lovely in a chocolate brown Zac Posen gown, won for best actress in a TV comedy, and her show “Girls” was named best TV comedy show. And all this happened on the same night as the “Girls” season 2 premiere. Looks like things worked out better than Dunham thought they would — she tweeted before the show that she was afraid her support garment might kill her).

(And in case you didn’t get enough of the “Girls” showrunner at the awards show, there’s lots more: A piece on Lena Dunham’s audacity and commitment to making us look at her naked body gets a lot of attention; Dunham addresses criticism aimed at her show and brushes off the hate from Howard Stern; She chats candidly with Amanda Dobbins over at Vulture; Joyce Carol Oates predicts that her memoir will be a big success; and Dunham divulges that she went commando at the recent “Girls” season premiere event.)

Sacha Baron Cohen made fun of Anne Hathaway’s unfortunate “up skirt shot” last month, which Joan Rivers also mocked most distastefully on Twitter.

In case you missed all or some of the red carpet fashion, take a look here at: Mayim Bialik rocking the tzniusdik sheer long-sleeved look; Kate Hudson showing off a sexy Alexander McQueen keyhole dress; Lea Michele looking positively icy; Rachel Weisz exhibiting better hair and makeup than dress; Liev Schreiber posing with partner Naomi Watts; Max Greenfield smooching with wife Tess Sanchez; Taylor Swift stunning in a plum taffeta gown by Donna Karan; and Julianna Margulies, in an intricate dark lace dress by Emilio Pucci, reuniting with her ER co-star George Clooney.

And in other news:

Actor Josh Malina promises to follow you on Twitter if you make a minimum $10 donation to the Jewish hunger-fighting charity Mazon in honor of his upcoming 47th birthday.

Jewish porn star James Deen gets mentioned a few times in the NYT Magazine cover story on the casting of Lindsay Lohan in Paul Schrader’s new film, “The Canyons.”

Newly divorced Jennie Garth is reportedly in a relationship with Big Gigantic drummer Jeremy Salken, whom Garth apparently affectionately calls her “jewboo.”

Jeff Bridge’s new book “The Dude and the Zen Master” makes connections between The Big Lebowski and Kabbalistic concepts.

Bob Balaban is now onboard for Wes Anderson’s new film, “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” about which no one seems to know very much at this point.

Thanks to some unearthed video footage, you can party like it’s 1987 with the Beastie Boys.

Adam Lambert has been dropped by his record label, 19 Recordings.

First it was smoking, then it was sodas. Now people are afraid that NY Mayor Michael Bloomberg is going to come after their painkillers.

And in the requisite new celebrity parent photo, we’ve got Drew Barrymore and hubby Will Kopelman strolling in New York with baby Olive (in her carriage, hidden from the camera’s view).
