Jewish Celebs Bring Glitz and Glamour to the Met Gala
The Met Gala, otherwise known as the Oscars of the fashion world, was held tonight at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The guest list for Anna Wintour’s exclusive event, which opens the yearly costume exhibit at the museum, includes only A-list celebrities and top designers.
The theme is “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology” and focuses on the dichotomy between man-made and machine-made fashion. Jewish stars were all over the red carpet and they stunned in their on-theme dresses and tuxedos.
Here are just some of our favorite looks:
SJP is a staple at the Met Gala, and this year she attended with her BFF Andy Cohen.
Amy Schumer wore a bold, red Alexander McQueen with thigh-high slits.
Ivanka Trump showed up in a non-controversial Ralph Lauren dress.
At the young age of 20, Tavi Gevinson is already a pro at the Met Gala dress game.
Young actress, and Taylor Swift squad member, Hailee Steinfeld shimmered in this green dress.
Ben Stiller and wife Christine Taylor give Derek Zoolander a run for his money.
Having serious back-envy for Emily Ratajkowski’s dress.
The ageless Paul Rudd is dapper in a black tux.
The ladies of Haim were on theme mixing lace dresses with metal hair pieces.
Diane Von Furstenberg went au natural with very life-like butterflies in her hair.
Jack Huston went in a less traditional direction and wore a blue and black tux.

With an ongoing war, rising antisemitism, and a flood of disinformation that may affect the upcoming election, we believe that free and open access to Jewish journalism is imperative.
Readers like you make it all possible. Right now, we’re in the middle of our Passover Pledge Drive and we need 500 people to step up and make a gift to sustain our trustworthy, independent journalism.
