What Barbra Streisand and 6 Other Jewish Celebrities Are Saying About Orlando Massacre

Jewish celebrities took to social media to express their sadness following Sunday’s massacre in Orlando, during which a gunman killed 50 people at a gay nightclub in the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.

Here’s what they had to say:

Barbra Streisand

At the Tony’s, the singer paid tribute to victims of the shooting before presenting the award for best musical to “Hamilton.” “Our joy is tinged with sorrow,” she said, adding that “art can console us.”

Lena Dunham

The “Girls” star shared a photo posted by transgender actress Laverne Cox on Instagram and urged followers to donate money to victims of the fatal shooting.

Sarah Silverman

The comedienne spoke out against Islamophobia in a tweet, which was retweeted close to 16,000 times, including by “Broad City” star Ilana Glazer.

Amy Schumer

The actress called news of the attack “sickening” on Twitter.

Dianna Agron

The “Glee” star wrote that she was “devastated” that “nothing is changing,” seemingly referring to lax gun control laws.

Paula Abdul

On Twitter, the singer-songwriter called the attack “senseless, tragic.”

Nev Schulman

The “Catfish” host shared a photo of himself and two police officers holding pride plags.
