Stephen Colbert Brings Jon Stewart Out of Retirement to Make America Sane Again
Jon Stewart, how we have missed thee? Let us count the ways!
While the news cycle has been obsessing over Donald Trump’s run for president, Stewart has been holed up in a cabin out in the middle of nowhere with his old pal and Comedy Central Republican chum, Stephen Colbert.
So you can imagine their surprise when they found out that the Republican candidate for president is not, as they assumed, Jeb Bush, but Trump, the man who said “I have black guys counting my money, I hate it. The only guys I want counting my money are short guys who wear yarmulkas all day.”
This hilarious video is bittersweet to watch. On the one hand, it feels so good to have Stewart on TV again, and it only took 5 minutes for him to launch jab after priceless jab at Trump’s expense. But so sad at the thought of all the incredible jokes he could have made during the political circus of the last year.
Enjoy the return of Stewart below:

In this age of misinformation, our work is needed like never before. We report on the news that matters most to American Jews, driven by truth, not ideology.
At a time when newsrooms are closing or cutting back, the Forward has removed its paywall. That means for the first time in our 126-year history, Forward journalism is free to everyone, everywhere. With an ongoing war, rising antisemitism, and a flood of disinformation that may affect the upcoming election, we believe that free and open access to Jewish journalism is imperative.
Readers like you make it all possible. Right now, we’re in the middle of our Passover Pledge Drive and we still need 300 people to step up and make a gift to sustain our trustworthy, independent journalism.
