Jewish artist Drake already has a reputation for being hip hop’s most sensitive rapper.
Is it me, or has there been an unusual amount of inappropriate Nazi-themed pop culture lately?
Fans of Nicki Minaj are calling for the singer to take down her controversial new video, “Only You,” featuring Drake, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown. With hoards of SS-style troops goose-stepping in an ominously drab fascist landscape while sporting swastika-like armbands, it’s more than a little suggestive of the Third Reich.
When I was in 5th grade, I had a deep dark secret. Upon turning 11, I fully expected to receive a letter by owl post, summoning me to join my class at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Judging by the picture Drake posted to Instagram this weekend, it seems I wasn’t the only one.

At least, that’s what Drizzy’s media coach tells him to do in this awesome skit from Above Average’s “Sound Advice.” Not a real media coach, obviously. Just Vanessa Bayer of “Saturday Night Live” as “Janessa Slater” a “media coach who’s helped hundreds of fans.”

In his opening monologue, the Jewish Canadian rapper harkened back to his bar mitzvah from 1999, focusing (successfully) on having a Jewish mother and a black father. SNL cast member Vanessa Bayer (known for her role in the original and recurring Bar Mitzvah Boy skit) played his mother and Jay Pharaoh played his father.
