The American Associates of Ben Gurion University of the Negev serves as a philanthropic arm to Be'er Sheva's crown jewel university. Established in 1969, the university was founded to promote the development of southern Israel. Ben Gurion University houses internationally renowned institutes in biotechnology and desert studies. In addition to providing philanthropic support, the American Associates published an educational magazine, Impact, to further promote the university.
Doron Krakow joined the American Associates of Ben Gurion University of the Negev seven years ago. At the start of his career in the Jewish nonprofit sector, he served as the national director of Young Judea for a decade. Krakow holds a master's degree in management from Cornell University.
