Fred Zeidman’s Non-Response Response to the Prager Flap

The chairman of United States Holocaust Memorial Council, Houston Republican Fred Zeidman, is staying mum in the wake of a controversy involving fellow council member Dennis Prager.

Prager, a conservative pundit, has been in hot water since he published columns criticizing a Muslim congressman for planning to use a Quran at his private swearing-in ceremony. Most recently, former NYC Mayor Ed Koch, also a member of the memorial council, has said he will push for Prager to resign or be removed from the panel.

In response to an inquiry from the Forward, Zeidman addressed the issue through a spokesperson for the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.

This is all Zeidman had to say: “Talk show host Dennis Prager speaks solely for himself. His statements do not reflect the position of the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, whose board is not self-appointed.”
