We didn’t need Gal Gadot’s celebrity-packed ‘Imagine,’ but, well, here it is

Even Wonder Woman is wondering how to keep morale up these days.
Yesterday, Gal Gadot gathered her celebrity pals together for a pastiched video of them singing John Lennon’s “Imagine” on Instagram.
“Day six in self-quarantine,” Gadot explained before the singing started. “I gotta say, these past few days have gotten me feeling a bit philosophical. This virus has affected the entire world. Everyone. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from. We’re all in this together.”
Gadot’s take on Lennon’s balladic appeal to human unity features Sia, James Marsden, Sarah Silverman, Zoe Kravitz and Natalie Portman, among others.

The “Wonder Woman 1984” star said she was inspired to join in song by a video of an Italian man playing the trumpet on his balcony for his neighbors during Italy’s lockdown. It’s a nice thought, and many online appreciated seeing celebs in their lounge-wear belting out a familiar tune. Still, others — including a noted comic electrician — objected.

Here’s a message from people with a lot of possessions that can take a year off of work and not flinch telling everyone outa work to imagine a world with no possessions while people are living in the street a half mile away from ‘em. RT @MattWalshBlog:

To be fair, that critique of “Imagine” is nothing new. John Lennon was called a hypocrite for the composition’s message of peace, love and anti-materialism — even by his own son.
