Sheldon Adelson Smashes Record With 18-Hour Flight From Israel

Jewish billionaire Sheldon Adelson set a record for the longest flight to depart from Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport when he took his private jet on a nearly 18-hour jaunt to Hawaii, Haaretz reported.
The Republican donor’s Airbus A340 went north and west from the Holy Land on Monday, crossing over Europe to the Atlantic Ocean before passing past Greenland and Canada From the frigid north, it veered south near Alaska before landing in Honolulu.
Adelson’s jet can fly extraordinarily far without refueling, especially when it’s flying with few passengers and little cargo. When loaded with 380 passengers, a similar plane serves the longest commercial route in the world – from Singapore to Newark.
Of course, when Sheldon flies, everything is uber-first clase. The plane has full bedrooms with double beds as well as a bottom floor with large bathrooms and showers, among other amenities.
His wife, Miriam Adelson, flew to Hawaii separately on her own plane, but her route was not immediately known.
