Anthony Weiner Pleads With Huma Abedin: Let’s Stay Together

After his sexting embarrassed her and possibly cost boss Hillary Clinton the election, Anthony Weiner is apparently pleading with Huma Abedin not to divorce him.
“He knows he’s hit rock bottom. But now they are both out of the limelight, they can focus on their son. They are actually getting on pretty well, and he and his friends are hoping that they might reconcile,” an unnamed source told the New York Post.
Abedin announced her separation from Weiner after fresh sexting allegations broke last October, as the disgraced former congressman was caught exchanging lewd messages with a North Carolina teen and even sending a raunchy pic that included their son Jordan.
Some Democrats have cast blame on Weiner for Clinton’s election loss. Following the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s seizure of a laptop the couple shared (in connection with charges of underage sexting), the agency also found e-mails from Clinton to Abedin, leading it to briefly reopen an inquiry into the former secretary of state’s private server.
Weiner has been trying to reform himself, his friends say, attending rehab for sex addiction that his parents took out a mortgage to pay for. But another friend of the couple expressed doubts about a rekindling between the two. “A reconciliation is very unlikely,” another source added.
