Ivanka Dishes On Shabbat And Being A 7-For-7 Yenta In ‘Women Who Work’
Ivanka Trump is sparing with private details in her new memoir and self-help book, “Women Who Work: Rewriting the Rules of Success.”
But the first daughter does spill some details about her religious observance and mad matchmaking skills.
Trump, who converted to Judaism when she married husband Jared Kushner, extols the benefits of the Sabbath, when observant Jews shun electronics.
“During this time, we disconnect completely — no emails, no TV, no phone calls, no Internet. We enjoy uninterrupted time together and it’s wonderful,” she wrote in the book.
She added: “It’s enormously important to unplug and devote that time to each other. We enjoy long meals together, we read, we take walks in the city, we nap, and just hang out.”
She also talks up the success that she and Kushner have had introducing their friends to romantic partners. “Jared and I have introduced seven couples who’ve gotten married. Seven!” she wrote, bragging about a number high enough to make yenta jealous.
So far, she says, none of the couples has divorced.
