Kushner Family Hawks $500K Cash-For-Visa Program To Wealthy Chinese

Jared Kushner’s family is reportedly wooing wealthy Chinese investors with a promise of U.S. residency in exchange for six-figure investments in their luxury real estate deals.
Kushner’s sister, Nicole Kushner Meyer, told dozens of potential investors in Beijing that they should invest in a skyscrapers currently being built in New Jersey, the Guardian reported.
She told the crowd that they could get permanent residency in exchange for investment of $500,000 or more under a controversial program dubbed the “golden visa”.
Meyer trumpeted her family’s ties to the White House, a potentially big selling point to investors.
According to the New York Times, Meyer told investors: “[This project] means a lot to me and my entire family”.
CNN reported that Meyer reminded the crowd that Jared Kushner “recently moved to Washington to join the administration,” and identified Trump as a backer of thee controversial EB-5 immigrant investor program, which has seen a big uptick in Chinese applications in recent years.
The event raises glaring new questions about conflicts of interest in the Trump administration. It also calls into question Trump’s sincerity about crackdown on immigration loopholes.
