WATCH: When Ivanka Trump Scouted Real Estate In Israel
Ivanka Trump is reportedly accompanying her father when he comes to Israel this month as part of the president’s first diplomatic trip abroad.
This isn’t Ivanka’s first time in Israel. Back in 2008, the president’s daughter and close adviser traveled to Jerusalem to scope out real estate opportunities for the family business. It was one of many of Trump’s overtures to invest in Israel, none of which came to fruition.
Haaretz captured Ivanka’s first visit on camera, describing the 26-year-old as a “former fashion model” who came to Israel with “a keen business sense and an eye for a good deal.”
Ivanka said visiting Jerusalem was like stepping back into “biblical time” but she said it would be difficult to build a hotel in the city given historic preservation codes.
Tel Aviv might be a better opportunity, she said, sounding not unlike her father.
“I think Tel Aviv is a tremendous city.”
