Disney CEO Pulls Out Of Trump Business Council Following ‘Paris’ Decision
Disney Chairman and CEO Robert Iger has resigned from President Trump’s Advisory Council over his decision to pull out of the Paris Climate Agreement.
Iger announced his intention to pull out of the council in a tweet published this morning on his personal Twitter account.
As a matter of principle, I’ve resigned from the President’s Council over the #ParisAgreement withdrawal.

Critics might say that Iger’s move is too little, too late – indeed, the most liked response to his tweet says “Good for you, sad though that this was the line for you but “pussy grabbing” and “Mexican rapists” weren’t – but the environment seems to be the issue that has pushed several council members over the edge.
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, also announced the morning that he will be resigning from the council. Travis Kalanick, CEO of Uber, resigned in February in the wake of Trump’s attempted travel restriction.
Those still left include Mary Barra of General Motors and General Electric CEO Jeff Immelt.
