Eric Greitens Shines At Koch Brothers Retreat
Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens left his state last weekend to attend a gathering of Republican donors at a Colorado resort. The event, organized by top donor Charles Koch of the Koch brothers, was aimed at rising money to advance conservative goals in the upcoming midterm elections and beyond.
Greitens’ advice to the donors was clear: “invest in governors because we are getting things done in states.” One of the issues Greitens mentioned was labor laws, where he and fellow Republican governors can “drive tremendous change.”
And the Koch brothers are already prepared to take Greitens at his word.
A group supported by Koch, Americans for Prosperity, is now trying to convince Republican state lawmakers to convene a special legislative session to pass an anti-union bill. Greitens is reportedly supportive of the move.
