Sebastian Gorka Says White Supremacists ‘Not Serious Threat’

Former White House adviser Sebastian Gorka said yesterday that white supremacists are “not a serious threat” in America. The real threat? A “rising tendency toward political violence” on the left, he said.

Speaking on Breitbart radio, Gorka said that the loosely organized antifa movement is part of the “normalization of violence on the left.”

“Let’s not get lost in the historic details,” Gorka said, according to a transcription on the advocacy website Right Wing Watch. “The KKK, white supremacists, neo-Nazis, they’ve been around for a long, long time. They’re anathema to a democracy, they are to be expunged from normal discourse, but they’re not a serious threat. They’re small numbers.”

Gorka said liberals were the ones behind violent acts like the killing of police officers in Dallas last year and the stabbing attack on a Portland train this year.

“If there is a rising tendency toward political violence here in America, it is on the left,” Gorka said. “And we have to deal with it as quickly as possible.”
