140,000 Sign Petition Calling George Soros A ‘Terrorist’

A petition calling on the White House to declare billionaire George Soros a “terrorist” and seize his assets has reached a sufficient number of signatures to receive a response from the Trump administration.

“George Soros has willfully and on an ongoing basis attempted to destabilize and otherwise commit acts of sedition against the United States and its citizens,” read the petition on the White House’s Web site.

The petition has already garnered 140,000 signatures, clearing the 100,000 signature threshhold needed to initiate an official response from President Trump.

It is almost certain that the administration will not agree to the petition’s request – but Soros has been a bug-bear to Trump and the right-wing generally.

The Hungarian-born Soros, who survived the Holocaust, has financed liberal policies in the United States and abroad through his Open Society Foundation and political donations.

During the election season, the Trump campaign ran an ad implying he was part of an anti-American global conspiracy, raising concerns about anti-Semitism.
