Sheldon Adelson Has ‘Top Business Mind,’ His Own Papers ‘Report’

How smart is Sheldon Adelson? The smartest, according to two newspapers he owns.

When Forbes included the casino billionaire on its list of the “100 Greatest Living Business Minds,”, the Adelson-owned media did its part to spread the word.

Adelson’s Israeli newspaper, Israel Hayom, ran articles on the honor in its English online edition and its Hebrew print edition. And back home in Vegas, the Review-Journal, the Adelson family’s latest media acquisition, ran a story for the domestic audience.

“Adelson is considered a generous philanthropist,” Israel Hayom reported. “He supports a Boston-based medical research fund to find cures for life-threatening illnesses and a number of educational initiatives.”

The Review-Journal was more restrained, noting also the inclusion of fellow casino billionaire Steve Wynn on the Forbes list.

Both publications acknowledged Adelson’s ownership in their stories.
