Ivanka On Roy Moore: ‘Special Place In Hell For People Who Prey On Children’

Ivanka Trump has weighed in on Roy Moore and the controversial Alabama Senate race, telling The Associated Press, “There’s a special place in hell for people who prey on children.”
Moore has been accused of having sexually assaulted multiple teenage girls when he was in his 30s. “I’ve yet to see a valid explanation and I have no reason to doubt the victims’ accounts,” the first daughter and presidential adviser told AP.
However, she did not call on Moore to drop out of the race, as many Republicans have done.
Trump also told AP that she and her husband and fellow presidential adviser, Jared Kushner, have no plans to exit the White House and return to their lives in New York.
“It’s definitely not short-term,” she said.
Trump has been in what she calls a “full-blown sprint” to pass the Republican tax reform plan, particularly its proposal to increase the child tax credit, which has been one of the focuses of her advocacy.
“I get a little bit frustrated when people call it a pet project,” she said. “This is a major project, this is not a pet project. This is a major initiative to ensure that there is meaningful middle-income tax relief for the American taxpayer.”
Various Republican plans have proposed boosting the current $1,000 credit to $1,600 or $2,000. Trump herself has not publicly said how high she wants the tax credit to go, though she has met with several Republican and a few Democratic lawmakers to discuss the issue.
