Aly Raisman On Sexual Abuse: ‘It’s Horrible What I Went Through’

In an interview with People, gymnast Aly Raisman discussed her alleged abuse at the hands of Larry Nassar, the U.S. Olympic gymnastic team doctor.
“I’m angry about it, and that’s why I’m talking about it, because it’s unacceptable,” Raisman told People.
Nassar is scheduled to plead guilty to molesting numerous other young women in two separate cases in Michigan. He previously pled guilty in federal court to possessing child pornography.
Raisman, who has written a book about her abuse, told People that she didn’t even know at the time that she was being abused.
“I thought the way he worked on me was very weird, but he insisted that the way he treated us would help heal our injuries,” she told PEOPLE. “There were so many people from USA Gymnastics that knew about it and looked the other way. I’m angry about it.”
