Trump Lashes Out At Robert Mueller Over Trove Of ‘Sensitive’ Emails — Including Jared Kushner’s

President Trump lashed out at special counsel Robert Mueller Sunday for obtaining a trove of tens of thousands of “sensitive” emails from the presidential transition team — including from beleaguered son-in-law Jared Kushner.
“It’s not looking good. It’s quite sad to see that,” Trump said as he returned from a weekend trip, according to Axios. “My people are very upset about it.”
Trump suggested he agreed with a transition team lawyer, who wrote to Congress complaining that some of the emails might be subject to some sort of executive privilege or other privacy claim.
“A lot of lawyers thought that was pretty sad,” Trump said.
Mueller’s spokesman and legal analysts say they were obtained legally.

The emails — including 7,000 from one account — could be particularly damaging to Kushner, who has already been questioned by Mueller’s team about his interactions with Russian and other foreign nationals during the presidential campaign and again during the transition.
Some analysts say Kushner may have asked questions based on the contents of the emails — and could have caught him in inconsistencies because he would not have known they had seen them.
Kushner is already in legal peril over the cooperation of ex-National Security Administration chief Michael Flynn, who told Mueller that the White House adviser urged him to undercut the U.S, effort on a UN resolution related to Israel during the transition.
