Ivanka Trump And Jared Kushner Are ‘Bashert’ Soulmates: New Book

A new book on the Trump children claims that numerous friends and colleagues said Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner were “bashert” — Yiddish for soulmates.

The seventh chapter of “Born Trump,” by Vanity Fair writer Emily Jane Fox, is titled “Bashert,” Jewish Insider reports. Reportedly, when the various associates of the couple were asked separately about their relationship, they identified them as bashert: soulmates, an inevitable match.

“They are blindly loyal to their families and hell-bent on expanding their empires,” Fox wrote.

Ivanka Trump’s closeness with Kushner’s family has been well-documented; Fox also reported that Trump calls Kushner’s parents “mom and dad”.

Trump and Kushner first met in 2005. They broke up briefly in 2008 over the issue of religion, but eventually reconciled in 2009. In 2010, she converted to Orthodox Judaism for Kushner.

In 2015, Trump spoke to Vogue about her relationship with Kushner.

“He’s very solution-oriented,” she told Vogue. “Plus it was nice finding someone who is a genuinely good person. I don’t take that for granted. I feel really lucky to have met, like, a great New Jersey boy.”

Trump and Kushner have become polarizing figures in the White House in their advisory roles to the president, directing policy and becoming enmeshed in the ongoing Russia investigation.
