Gal Gadot Speaks Out Against Trump’s Child Separation Policy

Israeli actress Gal Gadot has condemned the Trump administration’s policy of separating undocumented immigrant parents from their children.

“This picture breaks my heart,” Gadot wrote Saturday on Instagram under a photo of a child surrounded by uniformed guards. “Can you imagine how this little girl feels? How scared she is..? Everything is wrong with this picture.. #childrenbelongwiththeirparents.”

Gadot also shared on Twitter a message by her “Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins: “Trying to make our film today, but Gal and I growing increasingly distracted by the fact that there is somehow not an aggressive and swift effort to reunite these kids with their parents. What kind of people are standing in the way of such a thing? #Childrenbelongwiththeirparents”

Gadot has been outspoken on social media about how important her children are in her life.

Many other Jewish celebrities, including Sarah Silverman and Amy Schumer, have spoken out against the policy and marched this weekend in related protests around the country.

President Trump revoked his policy last week but thousands of children have yet to be reunited with their parents.
