Bloomberg Heading Toward Raising $100 Million For Democrats, Passing $80M Goal
Former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg is likely to spend $100 million on the midterm House of Representatives races, Fortune reported.
Bloomberg, a potential 2020 presidential candidate, has already met the $80 million he promised to spend to ensure the Democrats get control of the House.
Half of the money will go to women candidates, a Bloomberg adviser told Axios.
“We should have a better balance,” Bloomberg said Wednesday at the second annual Bloomberg Global Business Forum. “I’ve always been in favor of that in business and everything else.”
