Michael Bloomberg Profile Update: He’s A Democrat. Again.

Former mayor of New York Michael Bloomberg took to social media Wednesday morning to share news that he’s officially a Democrat, the Washington Post reported.
In an early morning Instagram post, the Jewish billionaire announced that he re-registered as a member of the Democrat Party. He has run for office as a Republican and an independent, according to CNBC.
The move fuels the idea that Bloomberg is seriously considering a 2020 presidential run.
In his post, Bloomberg referenced his 2016 Democratic National Convention speech.
“At key points in U.S. history, one of the two parties has served as a bulwark against those who threaten our Constitution,” he wrote. “Two years ago at the Democratic Convention, I warned of those threats. Today, I have re-registered as a Democrat — I had been a member for most of my life — because we need Democrats to provide the checks and balance our nation so badly needs.”
Bloomberg vowed to donate $80 million to ensure Democratic control of the House. He met and surpassed his goal — last week, he gave $20 million to the main Democratic Senate super PAC.
