Jared And Ivanka: The New Faces Of Transcendental Meditation?
No one can accuse Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner of having too little on their plate.
Perhaps the Jewish power couple can juggle so much is partially due to their dedication to transcendental meditation. The Daily Beast recently published a feature story on the benefits of the technique, which purports to help practitioners control anxiety, increase health — and even end war and help people fly. The First Family members may be two of its most famous adherents.
Transcendental meditation has attracted a number of celebrities, and Trump and Kushner are often listed top among them. They were spotted at the David Lynch Foundation’s gala for transcendental meditation last year, along with stars such as Jerry Seinfeld, Margaret Cho and Kesha. Tom Hanks is also a member of the organization, according to Business Insider.
Trump even dedicated a section of her book, “Women Who Work,” to touting the benefits of the practice.
“Transcendental meditation is a practice I picked up several years ago and I couldn’t do half of what I do in a day without it,” Trump wrote, as quoted by The Daily Beast. “Twenty minutes is ideal for calming the mind, eliminating distractions, and boosting my productivity.”
