Twitter Morphs Chuck And Nancy Into ‘American Gothic’
Side-by-side, Democratic congressional leaders Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi became internet memes after their joint response to President Trump’s prime-time address from the Oval Office, which called on him to reopen the government.
Townhall rounded up the unserious responses to Chuck and Nancy’s serious speech.
Twitter turned Schumer, Senate minority leader, and Pelosi, House speaker into the couple in the famed painting “American Gothic.” Users reimagined them as the creepy twins from “The Shining.” They reminded many of their parents, giving lectures when they were “not mad, just disappointed.”
