At White Nationalism Hearing, Candace Owens Says It Should Focus On Antifa Instead

At a House Judiciary Committee hearing on the threat of white nationalism on Tuesday, right-wing activist Candace Owens said that the committee should actually be holding hearings on antifa, the anti-fascist political movement.
“If they actually were concerned about white nationalism they would be holding hearings on Antifa, a far-left violent white gang who determined, one day in Philadelphia, that I, a black woman, was not fit to sit in a restaurant,” Owens said, describing a left-wing protest group chasing her out of the restaurant.
“They threw water at me, they threw eggs at me, and the leftist media were silent on it,” Owens said.
The tactic Owens describes is increasingly common among left=wing activists, who also harangued Senator Ted Cruz and his wife as they ate at a restaurant last fall.
Owens was one of a number of speakers invited by the committee’s Republicans, alongside Zionist Organization of America president Mort Klein and Mohammad Abu-Salha, whose two daughters and son-in-law were murdered in an anti-Muslim attack in North Carolina in 2015.
