Purim turns WAP into ‘Hat-Shaped Cookie’

The raunchiest, filthiest most sex-drenched song of 2020 is now…a family-friendly Purim video.

Los Angeles’s IKAR congregation took Cardi B’s monster hit WAP, which stands for — well, never mind — and substituted the three title words with “Hat-Shaped Cookie.”

The spoof music video, filmed at Bibi’s Warmstone Bakery and other L.A. locations, features Bibi’s owner Dan Messinger, Ayla Rose Barreau and Ingrid Leah — who adapted the song that made 2020 bearable.

The lyrics veer close enough to the original to make you wonder if kids should be at the spiel:

Yeah you wanna eat this hat-shaped cookie
Some say pocket or an ear, it’s a hat-shaped cookie…
Put this cookie right in your face
Prune, berry or choc-o-late.

But the rap is all in good fun, and a precursor to IKAR’s annual Purim party, which again will be online, featuring IKARites Josh Gad, Josh Gad, Mayim Bialik, Michaela Watkins, Moshe Kasher, Randy Sklar, Mark Feuerstein and Alex Edelman.
