Ivanka And Jared Eat At (Non-Kosher) Israeli Restaurant
Israeli food is the trend of 2018, it seems. (Just as it was in 2017, the crotchety old grump in me whispers.) Our cultural ken for hummus and sabich and tiny plates of salat only seems to be getting stronger. It seems even Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump are not immmune.
The Washington Post got the scoop on this rapidly developing – and now likely developed – piece of breaking news.
The new Israeli (non-kosher) restaurant Sababa is staking its claim in Cleveland Park where Jared and Ivanka feasted at 20:00 on a Tuesday. An onlooker confessed to the Post that they were in ‘smart-casual dress.’ Are we take this to mean glasses for Jared and a tie for Ivanka? “They were both very warm and friendly,” said the restaurant’s general manager.
And what, pray tell, did the hapless couple order? Shakshuka? A lamb shank? A Phoenecian Frappé?
Looks like this is going to be one of those facts that gets lost in the migratory shuffle of the human mind, as it helplessly lurches from one distraction to the next.
