The May 19 article “Rabbi Fired Over Sex Claims, Defenders Offer Mea Culpa” contained incorrect information about the location of Bayit Chadash, the spiritual center where the alleged abuser was a teacher. The center is located in Jaffa.
The May 19 article “Ala. Democrats Scramble To Bounce Shoah Denier From Primary Ballot” contained incorrect information about the 2002 attorney general candidacy of Larry Darby. He sought the Libertarian nomination, but did not receive it.
In addition, the article reported that Darby had been forced to resign as president of the Atheist Law Center because he hosted an event with a well-known Holocaust denier. The center’s current president, Carol Moore, sent the Forward a letter stating that Darby resigned to run for public office.

Now more than ever, American Jews need independent news they can trust, with reporting driven by truth, not ideology. We serve you, not any ideological agenda.
At a time when other newsrooms are closing or cutting back, the Forward has removed its paywall and invested additional resources to report on the ground from Israel and around the U.S. on the impact of the war, rising antisemitism and the protests on college campuses.
