Goodbye Dr. Ruth; Hello, Rabbi Irwin Kula
Last month, we re-launched the Forward’s famed Bintel Brief advice column with the legendary Ruth Westheimer answering readers’ questions on our Web site. Now, Dr. Ruth is handing over the Bintel Brief’s reins to our next guest advice columnist, Rabbi Irwin Kula. President of CLAL-The National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership, Kula was featured in the public television special “The Hidden Wisdom of Our Yearnings,” which was based on his latest book, “Yearnings: Embracing the Sacred Messiness of Life” (Hyperion, 2006).
Are you facing a Jewish dilemma, a spiritual crisis or family woes? Could you use a little advice? Send questions for the Bintel Brief to bintelblog@forward.com. Check the Forward’s Web site on Mondays this month for new installments of Kula dispensing his wisdom.
I hope you appreciated this article. Before you go, I’d like to ask you to please support the Forward’s award-winning, nonprofit journalism during this critical time.
Now more than ever, American Jews need independent news they can trust, with reporting driven by truth, not ideology. We serve you, not any ideological agenda.
At a time when other newsrooms are closing or cutting back, the Forward has removed its paywall and invested additional resources to report on the ground from Israel and around the U.S. on the impact of the war, rising antisemitism and the protests on college campuses.
Readers like you make it all possible. Support our work by becoming a Forward Member and connect with our journalism and your community.
