#75, overall score 55/100

Fun Fact:

Colby’s co-ed Woodsmen club competes around the country in skills like log rolling, axe throwing and chainsawing.

Why should Jewish students attend Colby? Our Hillel is a family. We take pride in being proud Jews in a very rural place. While it is a challenge for some people to come to Colby from larger Jewish communities, Colby Hillel offers opportunities that one will not find at bigger schools. Our Hillel is intimate and fun, the people are creative and ambitious. Because of the small size of our Hillel and the Jewish community on campus, everyone has the chance to make a difference in Hillel, and we leave our doors open to others to experience Judaism. — Emma Hofman, co-president, Colby Hillel
