Why should Jewish students attend Davidson? Davidson Hillel continues to grow in size and scope of programming and engagement. Jewish students now make up more than 5% of the student body. There is regular Shabbat and holiday programming and a synagogue less than one mile from campus, a short walk. Hillel hosts special events each year including visiting scholars, entertainment, etc. In January 2018, Davidson Hillel brought Chef Michael Twitty to campus. Hillel programming is supported by an endowed gift, Student Government funds, and funds from the Davidson College Chaplain’s Office.
