Jessy is a down-to-earth rabbi who works for the JCC in Baltimore. In a city that was previously lacking a community feel for young adults, Rabbi Jessy changed that by starting and running the vibrant young adult group in Baltimore, Charm City Tribe. Rabbi Jessy makes the Jewish community, traditions and holidays accessible for young adults in Baltimore in fun and unique ways with events like the Wild Purim Rumpus and the Chanukah BrewHaHa. Jessy truly is a wonderful rabbi and human being who lights up every event and group. She has a special energy that makes everyone feel welcome. Rabbi Jessy has inspired me and those around her to include Jewish traditions in our lives. Before Rabbi Jessy, Judaism had taken a back seat in my life. With her support, I’ve been able to find ways to change that without fear of any judgment. I know that this is true for others in our community and that we all now feel we have a rabbi we can turn to. In my mind, Rabbi Jessy already has received the title of one of American’s Most Inspiring Rabbis.
