David Kuo On 60 MInutes
David Kuo, the former staffer in the Office of Faith-Based Initiatives who has written a tell-all book about the venture’s politicization, told his side of the story on 60 Minutes last night.
Here’s one interesting tidbit, about the embedding of Christian phraseology in speeches in a way that is subtle to non-Christians:
“As in this speech, delivered by President Bush, which Kuo didn’t write: “There’s power, wonder-working power in the good and idealism and faith of the American people.”
If “wonder working power” sailed over your head, most evangelicals recognize it from a famous hymn.”
