Slain Pittsburgh Jewish School Aide Susan Wolfe Seen on Bus With Mystery Man

A slain Pittsburgh Jewish day school teacher’s aide was spotted riding a bus home with a man the night before her body was found along with her pediatrician sister, police said.

Susan Wolfe, 44, is shown on video surveillance tape sitting together with the unknown man as she rode home from her job at the Hillel Academy in the upscale Squirrel Hill neighborhood Thursday night.

Her naked body and that of her sister, Sarah Wolfe, 38, were found the next day with single gunshot wounds to their heads.

Police investigators were able to track the use of Wolfe’s automated bus fare card, which allowed them to focus on video from a particular bus at a specific time, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.

Among the theories being pursued by investigators is one that Sarah Wolfe, a psychiatrist at Western Psychiatric Institute & Clinic, arrived home after an assault on her older sister was already underway.

The sisters were raised in smalltown Clinton, Iowa, where their sister, Mary Wolfe, is a state lawmaker.
