5 Creepy Anti-Semitic Memes On Reddit, Or How the ‘Alt-Right’ Spent Election Day

On Election Day, Hillary Clinton supporters and Donald Trump supporters alike are making the urgency in their votes known across every social media platform, with both camps gunning hard for their candidate. Of course, in Trump’s camp, there’s one subset of supporters that has made itself quite loudly, consistently and troublingly known throughout the 2016 campaign. The so-called ‘alt-right,’ a hyper-nationalist, white supremacist, hate-mongering identifier for racists and anti-Semites who support Trump, has been one of the defining elements of this election, especially if you’ve experienced it as a Jew.
Election Day, of course, is no exception to the ongoing barrage of garbage. On r/altright, a subreddit dedicated to the ‘alt-right,’ anti-Semitic hatred has reached a fever pitch, proliferating Hitler-tastic nonsense wildly as the results of the election draw near.
Here are ten examples of videos, posts, and memes from Election Day alone:
1) List of Jewish Opposition to Donald Trump
Reddit user random6000 compiled this list of all Jewish opposition to Trump. You know, just so everybody should know who was behind the “grand conspiracy” undoubtedly at play if The Donald loses.
2)”If you’re feeling fatigued by all the mass immigration lately”
Reddit user SupremeEffortPoster decided to share this picture, as an explanation for who is always to blame when racists don’t like immigration. (Hint: it’s the Jews.)
3) “Fear: The Greatest Weapon of The Jews”
Reddit user The—Goyim—know (classy username, by the way) posted a video about the grand machinations of us Yids and how we use fear to manipulate the masses, obviously.
4) “Pets Really Do Look Like Their (((Owners)))!”
Another hit from user SupremeEffortPoster, this time a repost from famous trashperson Stefan Molyneux, showing a picture of Clinton and George Soros side by side, ostensibly with one as the pet of the other. How original!
5) “Adolf Hitler: The Greatest Story Never Told”
And, of course, lest we forget, the inevitable Hitler worship by aptly named edgelord HitlerAlwaysRight, who posted some straight-up neo-Nazi propaganda in video form.
Those are only five of many examples, from Election Day alone.
Even after the election result is announced, let’s remember whose side these people were on. Because these people will have made their ugly, idiotic voices heard — all behind the banner of a candidate they felt they would be protected by — and the damage they’ve done is real.
