‘Wet Hot American Summer:’ Meet the Counselors
Hello campers!
The counselors from Camp Firewood are back! (Or are here for the first time, depending on how you look at it.)
Netflix has released another promotional video for their upcoming series, “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp,” a prequel of the 2005 film “Wet Hot American Summer.” The previously released set the scene for a reunion of the original (and very Jewish) cast.
This new featurette shows counselors Susie (Amy Pohler), Gail (Molly Shannon), Neil (Jo Lo Truglio) in a totally 80s wig and wire glasses, Katie (Marguerite Moreau) in her signature pink hoodie, Lindsay (Elizabeth Banks), Greg (Jason Schwartzman), McKinley (Michael Ian Black).
We also get a glimpse of Paul Rudd’s jean-clad butt.
And if there were any doubts that Wet Hot American Summer was a totally Jewish movie, check out the only campers’ names mentioned during the featurette:
Amanda Klein, Jessica Azaria, Ira Stevenberg, Saul Zimmerstein, Rachel Clipper-Hofferman…
You get the gist.
